STRIVE PERFORMING ARTS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By agreeing to the Strive Performing Arts (“Strive”) online enrolment form you have completed, you are deemed to have agreed and accepted the following terms and conditions of enrolment:

Enrolment and Fees
1.1 Term fees are payable in full prior to the first day of each term via bank transfer or cash, unless prior payment arrangements have been made. Payment is to be made to Strive Performing Arts: 12-34-38-0054402-00.
1.2 Payment plans are available on request. This must be arranged prior to the commencement of the Term and must be approved in writing by the Director.
1.3 Term fees are based on an average of nine weeks per term, with a minimum number of eight weeks, to take into consideration statutory holidays.
1.4 Term fees unpaid by the 3rd week of each Term will incur a $25 late fee (unless on a pre-arranged payment plan).
1.5 Any invoices left unpaid at the end of each Term will be forwarded to a debt collector. You will be liable for any and all costs associated with collection and recovery.
1.6 If a student wishes to change classes or withdraw, they are able to do so up until week 3 of each Term. Beyond this, no refunds will be given.
1.7 Refunds will not be given for missed classes. Once you have reserved a place, your spot is held for the Term and you are subject to the fees payable, regardless of attendance.
1.8 On the rare occasion that a class is cancelled by Strive, this will be rescheduled at a later date or added as a credit to your account.
1.9 If a student wishes to withdraw before the dance year is complete, Strive must be notified in writing prior to the commencement of the following Term. Unless we are notified of withdrawal, your spot will be held in the class, and we will continue to bill you until the end of the dance year.

Refunds
2.1 Refunds are not given for missed classes, unless under exceptional circumstances.
2.2 If a student is absent for more than 3 consecutive weeks due to illness or injury, a refund for the missed classes may be provided upon presentation of a medical certificate.
Uniforms
3.1 All students must be appropriately dressed for class with the correct footwear. No school uniforms are to be worn.
3.2 Hair is to be tied up out of the face for all classes.
3.3 All students are to purchase the Strive Performing Arts uniform for examinations.

Health and Safety
4.1 Strive Performing Arts will aim to provide a safe learning environment to reduce the risk of injury. It should be recognised by all students, parents/guardians, that dance by its very nature carries a risk of injury or accident. Strive Performing Arts is not liable for any personal injury sustained or any loss or damage to personal property whilst on the premises.
4.2 It is the student's or parent/caregiver's responsibility to notify the teacher before the class starts of any prior injury, medical condition, or treatment that may affect a student’s participation in class.
4.3 A first aid kit is available during all classes. Strive Performing Arts does not administer any medication without prior written consent from a parent/caregiver.
4.4 Strive Performing Arts will provide a safe environment for our dancers. Teachers cannot be responsible for students outside of their allocated class time or outside the dance studio.
4.5 To demonstrate correct technique and safely teach new skills, sometimes teachers need to make physical contact with students. We take all measures to ensure our students are safe and comfortable.
4.6 All Strive teachers and staff members are police-vetted prior to involvement with our students.

Attendance and Behaviour Expectations
5.1 If unable to attend a class, please notify Strive Performing Arts via email (striveperformingarts@gmail.com), social media, or phone (022 025 1099).
5.2 Please ensure students have been to the toilet before class. We share facilities with Strength Nation Gym. By attending Strive Performing Arts classes, you give permission for your child to be accompanied (by their teacher or an older dancer) to use the shared toilets in the gym.
5.3 Appropriate and respectful behaviour is expected of all Strive teachers, staff members, and students while in and around Strive Performing Arts venues and events.
5.4 Our dance studio is in a multi-tenanted facility. It is expected that our students and families are respectful of this. Please do not run, yell, squirt water, or leave a mess while attending or waiting for classes.

Photography
6.1 Parents/caregivers are not permitted to photograph and/or video students in class. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of our dancers and comply with the Privacy Act 1993 regulations.
6.2 Parents/caregivers may film their child in class during open week (once per term) if the teacher has given permission.
6.3 Photographs and videos may be taken by Strive teachers from time to time. These may be shared on Strive Performing Arts' social media pages or used for promotional material. Please notify the office in writing if you do not wish for your child to be included in photographs or videos.

Intellectual Property
7.1 All class, performance, and competition choreography remains the intellectual property of Strive Performing Arts. Choreography may not be used without prior permission from Strive Performing Arts.
7.2 Students who discontinue classes are not permitted to perform Strive Performing Arts solo, duo, trio, or group choreography under any circumstances.
7.3 All choreography learned in class is the intellectual property of Strive Performing Arts or is taught under contract and license through syllabus organisations and shall not be shared with the public without gaining prior permission from the Director.

Privacy Act
8.1 Strive Performing Arts registration form collects personal information about the customer and the student. Under the Privacy Act 1993, you are entitled to request access to or correction of information at any time.

Dismissal
9.1 Strive Performing Arts maintains the right to dismiss any student who breaches any of the stated terms and conditions, damages property, or causes severe disruption. The decision will be made at the discretion of the Director.
9.2 Strive Performing Arts has a zero-tolerance policy on bullying, harassment, gossip, and negative discussion amongst our students and their families. Any students participating in this behaviour risk temporary or permanent dismissal from the studio.
9.3 No refunds will be given if a student faces dismissal. All unpaid invoices will require prompt payment.
